ATC Corp of Maryland completed the installation of six dedicated outdoor pickleball courts at Alpha Ridge Park in Marriottsville, Maryland. Developed for Howard County Recreation & Parks, the new courts expand access to one of the region’s fastest-growing recreational sports and provide residents in western Howard County with a purpose-built destination for organized play, casual matches, exercise and community connection.

The project required careful attention to surface quality, court layout, line accuracy and overall playability. Each court was installed to provide a consistent playing experience while supporting the durability and long-term performance expected of a heavily used public recreation facility. The completed complex creates a welcoming environment for players of different ages and skill levels, from first-time participants to experienced competitors.
More than a collection of new playing surfaces, the Alpha Ridge Park courts represent an investment in active living and shared public space. Pickleball encourages movement, social interaction and friendly competition, making it an increasingly valuable addition to community parks.
